All progress is built on a first step
We Are Here to Listen and Guide You Forward
Booking a consultation connects you directly with Sebastian Araya, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC–IRB) and Chilean-trained lawyer (LLB), authorized to represent clients before Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB).
Whether you are in Canada or planning from abroad, a consultation provides clarity on your options before you make important decisions.
Consultations are intended for individuals who have not yet entered into a service agreement with Moova. Once a service agreement is in place, support becomes comprehensive and forms part of full legal representation throughout the immigration process.

Our Process
1. Strategic Consultation
It all begins with a conversation. We listen to your story, review your situation and answer your questions.
From this first step, we look at your case through our Migration Design lens to understand direction and risks.
Within a few days, you will receive a formal consultation report with key points and an action plan.
2. Onboarding & Planning
If you wish to move forward, and it is clear that your case is viable, the next step is to sign a service agreement and outline a tailored roadmap for your application.
At this stage, we apply our Migration Design framework in full to structure the planning process.
3. Building Your Application
We guide you in gathering the required documents and prepare a clear, coherent and compliant application.
4. Submission & Follow-Through
We file your application with IRCC, monitor its progress, and stay with you through the process until a decision is made.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How long is an initial consultation?
Our standard consultation lasts up to 60 minutes. During this time, we review your background, discuss your goals, and explore possible pathways under Canada’s immigration system.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You’ll receive a formal written consultation report with the main points discussed and suggested next steps within a few days after your consultation.
If you decide to retain our services, the consultation fee will be credited toward your professional fees for eligible permanent residence applications, provided the service agreement is signed within 30 days.
What documents should I send before the initial consultation?
To prepare for your session, please send in advance (if applicable):
- Passport ID page
- Proof of current status in Canada (work permit, study permit, visitor record, etc.)
- Updated résumé (CV) with education and work history
- Language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, TEF, etc.), if available
- Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), such as WES, if available
Can I book another session after the initial consultation?
Yes! If you’ve had an Initial Consultation with Moova within the past 6 months, you can book a 30-minute Follow-up Consultation.
This shorter session is designed to revisit the conversation, clarify questions that came up afterwards, or adjust your plan in light of new circumstances. After the session, you’ll also receive a brief email with comments and recommendations.
If it’s been more than 6 months since your Initial Consultation, we recommend scheduling a new Initial Consultation. Immigration rules and procedures evolve constantly, and your own goals or circumstances may have shifted. A full consultation allows us to take a fresh look at your profile and give you updated, reliable guidance.
Do you review applications during the consultation?
No. Consultations are not application review sessions.
If you already have a prepared application (for example, a spousal/common-law sponsorship), we offer a document-only review service as a separate option.
Can I get written advice without booking a live consultation?
Yes. For specific cases where you have 1–3 clear questions, Moova offers a Written Advisory service.
You’ll receive a concise written response by email within a few business days. This service does not include document review or application preparation and is designed for straightforward questions only.
If we determine that your questions require additional context, document review, or a more in-depth discussion, we will let you know and recommend booking a consultation instead.
Do you work with clients outside Canada?
Yes! Moova is a remote immigration practice based in Vancouver, Canada, and we work with clients worldwide, including Latin America, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and beyond.
What is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC)?
A Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is a licensed professional regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). RCICs are authorized to represent clients before Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Working with a regulated consultant protects you from “ghost consultants”, unlicensed individuals who offer immigration services without authorization.
Moova is bound by the professional and ethical standards set by the CICC, which provides regulated and accountable representation.
